RPCh - The first private Ethereum RPC provider
The one topic that shocked the crypto community last week was a revelation of a very real privacy issue at the heart of that most fundamental crypto tool: the wallet. As so often in privacy, people don’t care until the problem is already out of control.
US-based crypto giant ConsenSys updated its privacy policy, revealing that Metamask, gathers user IP addresses when users access the service via the RPC provider Infura.
While most crypto users heard about this IP address issue for the first time last week, we’ve been shouting about this for almost a year. In January this year, we launched D.E.R.P. to draw people’s attention to the privacy issues currently pervading web3.
However, D.E.R.P. is not meant as a private RPC endpoint – which brings us to RPCh.
RPCh is the first private Ethereum RPC provider. RPCh is a service on top of the HOPR protocol, which routes RPC requests and responses via the HOPR network.
We're collaborating with MetaMask, who know they need to do better here!
At the Infinite Hackathon in Bogota in September, we’ve also challenged hackers to integrate RPCh with live crypto wallets of their choice. This was the first attempt to implement RPCh and was a resounding success with three seamless integrations: BlockWallet, Tally Ho! and Frame.
Long story short: With RPCh any wallet can be more private than ever before!

DAO Experiment v0.5
The fifth HOPR DAO experiment took place in November.
This time round, the topic for discussion was:
Who should be responsible for managing the HOPR DAO’s liquidity on Uniswap, and under what conditions?
After almost two weeks of amazing discussion and voting, the DAO decided to allocate $600,000 in liquidity to external management as part of a six-month trial. Arrakis Finance and Gamma Strategies will each be given $300,000 in liquidity to manage.
